Didier Demesmin, MD, MBA, is an interventional pain medicine physician who is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is the medical director and founder of New York Pain Medicine Associate, with offices throughout New York as well as New Jersey.
Dr. Demesmin earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where was an award recipient for Academic Excellence in Anesthesiology. He completed his interventional pain medicine fellowship program at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons -Saint Luke’s Roosevelt in New York City, as well as a residency in Anesthesia at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
He is affiliated with some of the most well-respected hospitals in Central New Jersey, including St. Barnabas Hospital, JFK Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hudson Regional Hospital, Somerset Medical Center, and Saint Peter’s University Hospital, where he acts as the director of pain medicine. He has also lectured and conducted poster presentations internationally.
His travels have taken him to the International Intradiscal Therapy Society in Toulouse, France, as well as the Italian Minimally Invasive Spine Conference in Rome, Italy, among other prestigious institutions. Dr. Demesmin also lectured and performed a live, minimally invasive discectomy as part of a seminar in Brazil. He has been a mentor to college students, medical students, residents, and pain medicine fellows.
